Roving Records - whatever you see, whenever, wherever for The Bird Atlas 2007-2011

The Bird Atlas is a project to map all of Ireland and Britain’s birds during both the winter and the breeding seasons of 2007-2011. While many 10 km squares close to Dublin have good coverage, on Sunday 25th we'll team up with Brian Caffrey, the Atlas co-ordinator, in an attempt to get some coverage in some of the neglected squares of Wicklow and Kildare at the start of the breeding season.

No special identification skill is required, just list the common birds and select from some simple indicators of breeding. We'll arrange a meeting point and then split up into two/three people per car. Location of the squares will be known from Brian Caffrey nearer the date.

If you'd like to have a go and tackle some "unexplored territory" near Dublin
please email Brian Gormley contact[AT]birdweb[DOT]net
